COMPETITION TERMS & RULES
1. ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Beat The Clock is a trading knowledge and decision-making competition operated by Trade Or Fade. It is designed to test participants’ knowledge of trading concepts, market scenarios, price action and trade decision-making. Winners are determined by score and completion time. No winner is selected at random.
2. ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be aged 18 or over and must hold an active Trade Or Fade Membership when entering the competition and when any prize is awarded.
3. HOW BEAT THE CLOCK WORKS
Each weekly championship consists of 15 trading knowledge questions or scenarios. Participants have 90 seconds to complete the championship. For each scenario, participants choose either TRADE, meaning they would take the setup, or FADE, meaning they would avoid or pass on the setup.
4. OFFICIAL ATTEMPT RULE
Only one official attempt is permitted per member for each weekly championship. The earliest valid recorded attempt associated with the member’s registered membership email will be treated as the official result. Any later attempts may be disregarded.
5. SCORING & TIE-BREAKER
The participant with the highest valid score wins. If two or more participants achieve the same highest score, the fastest valid completion time will determine the winner.
6. FAIR PLAY & DISQUALIFICATION
Participants must complete the competition themselves and must not use bots, scripts, automation, tampering, manipulation or any other method intended to interfere with the competition or results. Trade Or Fade may review results and disqualify entries where there is reasonable evidence of manipulation, duplicate participation, technical abuse or breach of these rules.
7. WEEKLY PRIZES
The prize for each weekly championship will be displayed on the Beat The Clock page. Prizes may include a certificate, physical award and/or third-party trading challenge account. No cash alternative is available unless Trade Or Fade states otherwise.
8. THIRD-PARTY CHALLENGE ACCOUNT PRIZE
Any trading challenge account prize is supplied by a third-party provider and is subject to that provider’s own rules, eligibility requirements, terms and availability. Trade Or Fade does not operate the third-party trading platform and does not guarantee that a participant will successfully complete, pass or profit from any trading challenge.
9. TRADING & FINANCIAL DISCLAIMER
Beat The Clock is an educational and entertainment-based knowledge competition only. Nothing within the competition, website, membership or Trade Or Fade materials constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading signals, portfolio management or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument. Trading financial markets involves risk.
10. COMPETITION OPENING & CLOSING TIMES
Each weekly championship opens and closes at the times displayed on the Beat The Clock page. Entries submitted after the closing time will not be eligible for that championship.
11. WINNER VERIFICATION
Before awarding a prize, Trade Or Fade may verify the winner’s identity, age, active membership status, registered email address and competition result. If a winner cannot be verified or is found to have breached these rules, Trade Or Fade may disqualify that result and award the prize to the next eligible participant.
12. TECHNICAL ISSUES
Trade Or Fade is not responsible for internet outages, device failures, browser issues or other technical problems outside its reasonable control. Where a serious technical fault affects the integrity of a championship, Trade Or Fade may pause, cancel, repeat or reschedule that championship.
13. CHANGES TO THE COMPETITION
Trade Or Fade may make reasonable changes to these rules where necessary for security, fairness, technical operation or legal compliance. Material changes will be displayed on the website.
14. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES
By entering Beat The Clock, participants confirm that they are aged 18 or over and that they have read and agreed to these Competition Terms & Rules.
